Browser zoom scales the entire interface. Viewoupe starts from a smaller unit: the current unit of attention. Open one paragraph and it gets a quiet reading surface with reflow, adjustable type size, and progressive Focus modes without redesigning the whole page.

A memory layer over the web

Saving dozens of highlights is easy; reconstructing the idea later is harder. Viewoupe deliberately limits a set to three anchors, creating a small semantic skeleton instead of a highlight archive. One In my words sentence belongs to the entire set and records the reader’s understanding rather than another quote.

During Recall, Viewoupe shows the anchors and asks What was the idea? before revealing In my words and the original passage. After Reveal, the reader can mark Remembered / Partial / Forgot; the next local recall is scheduled accordingly.

Focus History remains a separate return-to-source layer. Memory does not replace the source and does not generate an AI summary: the reader decides what matters.

What Viewoupe already does

Local-first by default

Viewoupe does not send selected text to an AI service and does not require an account. Anchors, In my words, recall state, and Focus History are stored in browser localStorage. On AI Literacy, analytics runs only after consent; product events contain action types and counts, never anchor text, passage text, or In my words.

Viewoupe is intended for queries such as how to remember what you read online, focus reading tool, active recall while reading, reader mode with reading history, and zoom text without zooming the entire web page.
